Reflection

The course of the Fiqwis classes lead by MIke has been a journey that has developed a new understanding of what writing is in the world outside of high school. The course focused on academic writings that we may possibly write in the future, giving in a site in real-life writing and how to write them. I find my self to have improved in writing where it went from casual writing to more of an informative writer. The course for me focused on four writings, conference proposal, conference paper, peer reflection, and a blog post journal. Each has given a different insight into how different writings affect people. Each of the blog posts represented different subjects, in a political understanding. One of which was on technology, that is often seen as a different subject than the usual political issues. However, it is found that it has its importance so to find a relationship we go into details about its revolutionary features and how it affects the economy which is deeply interchanged with politics. So for the blogs especially in the game of technological politics, its best to not take too many sides, but yet be influential. A different aspect of writing goes to the conference subject. From this chapter of the course we observed and took note in the ways of writing in different steps given you are trying to attend a conference. The writing included objectives such as writing to convince either those who run the conference to have you join them, or have funding in order to attend. While both are subject to convince people, one writing informs benefits for who it is written for, while the other is based on entitlement for the objective. The next part of working with a conference is the speech itself. One of the most repeated things we were taught is that we can not write as if we are taking other ideas. That being because said part of giving a speech on a subject like so is because you have original knowledge that makes you entitled to give that speech. So you are to focus on your own topic and own solutions rather than explain why someone else is good. Finally, the last step goes into publishing your own work, have it so that it can be verbally understood properly because the way of text is not the same as speech. When writing give the text more voice so that when conveyed the readers truly hear what you are saying.
